Fabrics used for school uniforms
Different uniform items need different fabrics. Shirts are made in soft, breathable poly-cotton or cotton blends that are easy to wash. Trousers, skirts and tunics use polyester-viscose (PV) or terry-cotton fabrics that resist creasing and keep their pleats. Blazers are tailored in serge suiting, sweaters in knitted acrylic-blend yarn and track suits in polyester or fleece for sports and winter.

Uniform care tips for parents
Uniforms last longer when they are washed inside-out in cold or lukewarm water, dried in shade and ironed at medium heat. Wash dark and light items separately for the first few washes, and avoid bleach on coloured fabrics and embroidered logos.
